Polo Club Hotel, Southam, operated by Focus Hotels Management Group, is seeking to recruit a part-time Hotel Marketing Executive to join its team.

Polo Club Hotel is a beautiful 56‑room hotel located in the heart of Southam, Warwickshire, surrounded by rolling countryside and the charming market towns that define this historic region. Southam sits within easy reach of Leamington Spa, Warwick, and the Cotswolds, offering guests a perfect base to explore picturesque villages, scenic walking routes, and centuries of English heritage. Who you are. Polo Club Hotel is seeking a passionate and driven Marketing Executive eager to take on an exciting challenge within a unique hotel in Warwickshire. The ideal candidate will bring previous marketing experience in hospitality, a strong customer‑focused mindset, and a flair for creative content development, all while demonstrating exceptional attention to detail.

Role Responsibilities

  • Shape & Execute Marketing Plans: Collaborate with the hotel team and partner agencies to create and implement effective marketing strategies for all hotel outlets.
  • Launch New Spa: Lead the marketing strategy for the launch of our brand‑new spa opening in Summer 2026. Develop and deliver pre‑launch buzz, launch campaigns, and ongoing promotional activity to position the spa as a premier wellness destination in Warwickshire.
  • Spa & Wellness Partnerships: Develop relationships with local wellness brands, therapists, fitness instructors, and influencers to support the spa launch and create unique guest experiences and packages.
  • Polo & Sporting Experiences Promotion: Promote the hotel’s on‑site polo pitches by creating targeted campaigns, event coverage, and experiential packages that appeal to corporate groups, leisure guests, and sporting enthusiasts.
  • Market & Audience Research: Conduct research to understand our audience, stay ahead of trends, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Social Media Management: Manage the hotel’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn) to build a high‑quality, engaging presence.
  • Email Marketing & Database Management: Capture customer data, manage the hotel’s database, and oversee email marketing, automation, and segmentation.
  • Promotions & Content: Execute B2B and B2C campaigns across digital and traditional channels, keeping the website up to date with relevant content.
  • Website & SEO Optimisation: Support ongoing website improvements, SEO best practices, and landing pages to increase visibility, drive direct bookings, and showcase spa and polo experiences.
  • Track & Report Performance: Measure campaign effectiveness to evaluate ROI, brand impact, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Events & PR Support: Assist in organising events, PR initiatives, and awards to elevate local brand exposure, including high‑profile activity supporting the spa launch and polo events.
  • Reputation Management: Monitor and respond to online reviews across platforms such as Google and TripAdvisor, helping to maintain a strong brand reputation and guest trust.
  • Photography & Visual Content Coordination: Organise photo and video shoots to capture the hotel, spa, polo facilities, events, and guest experiences for use across marketing channels.
  • Local Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses, tourism boards, and event organisers to strengthen the hotel’s presence within Southam and the wider Warwickshire area.
  • Package & Revenue Support: Work with the revenue and reservations teams to develop seasonal offers, spa packages, and polo experience packages that drive occupancy and ancillary revenue.
  • Brand Consistency & Collateral: Ensure all marketing materials, signage, and guest‑facing collateral reflect brand standards and support the positioning of Polo Club Hotel as a premium countryside destination.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in marketing within hospitality, spa or a similar industry.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and research skills.
  • A background in social media management, PR, event planning, SEO, email marketing, and automation/scheduling tools.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
  • Previous experience in marketing strategy development would be beneficial but not essential.

People

Direct report to Hotel General Manager, with dotted line to Focus Marketing Manager. Working with the Hotel Revenue, Sales, Spa & F&B team to assist in pricing and promotions for all retail outlets within the hotel.
