Role Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the daily department operations by performing maintenance duties, repairs, servicing, painting and preventative maintenance of all hotel equipment, furniture and fixtures.
- Maintain all external areas including loading bay and car parking.
- You will be working as part of a team not just in the Maintenance Department, but supporting all your colleagues to deliver outstanding service and standards to our guests.
- You will be required to complete records that form part of our legal compliance, so accurate reporting and record keeping is essential.
- Work from the PMS reactive maintenance schedule on a daily basis to prioritise and action remedial works as needed to ensure all hotel facilities are in good order so as not to lose revenue.
- Be aware of the responsibility for the security of guests and hotel property.
- Refer any requirement for departmental supplies to the maintenance engineer or Senior Management for authorisation.
- Deputise for the Maintenance Engineer/Manager on their days off and holiday cover.
- Ensure the Company Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, Fire & COSHH legislation are adhered to and maintain scheduled inspection records and online compliance systems.
Key Requirements:
- The ideal candidate would have previous experience of building maintenance, including plumbing, basic electrical and fabric.
- Positive attitude.
- Good communication skills.
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations including working at heights.
- Ability to work on their own or in teams.
