The hotel stands as a testament to the area's rich history, with origins tracing back to 1745 when it began as a bathing establishment centred around a natural spring that still flows today. The hotel features a historic outdoor swimming pool known as the New Bath Hotel Lido.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in ensuring the efficient and effective running of the Kitchen.
- Assist in preparing food in a timely manner, helping guests to have memorable experiences whenever and wherever they dine.
- Take pride in your work and always follow the specifications set by the Head Chef and Sous Chefs.
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and efficient kitchen.
- Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients.
- Keep all kitchen areas, workstations, and storage areas clean, tidy, and hygienic.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Dispose of waste and recycling in line with health and safety procedures.
- Receive and store deliveries, ensuring stock is organised correctly.
- Support chefs and kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Replenish cleaning supplies and kitchen essentials as required.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and company policies.
- Carry out general cleaning duties, including mopping floors, sanitising surfaces, and cleaning kitchen equipment.
Key Requirements:
- Be Flexible – enjoy working different shift patterns and seeing the operation on different days of the week including the weekends.
- Be standards and detail driven to meet the menu specifications.
- Be aware of hygiene and cleanliness standards and assist in meeting these.
- Be a team player - interact and communicate with the kitchen and restaurant team and sometimes guests if you are front of house.
