JOB MISSION
Accountable for the wholesale marketing direction to drive sell-through in market for Global, Strategic, Energy and other key accounts. The Senior Trade Marketing Manager coordinates the full omnichannel journey for accounts from online to in-store as well as Ecommerce and in-store display coordination. Leading the trade marketing lifestyle team, to deliver against strategy and best-in-class sell-in and sell-out.
Reports directly into the Head of Marketing and will work closely with UK & IRE Sales leads, UK Brand/Trade Marketing, EMEA/Global Marketing and product teams internally, along with wholesale partners; marketing, buying and merchandising teams to strategically plan, build & implement processes, activate the marketβs biggest growing accounts and provide analytical evaluation & reporting.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Complete aligned Global and Regional EMEA Marketing plan to meet investment criteria, priorities and goals.
- Responsible for communication with regional marketing goals, investments and priorities to all accounts, and other channels that are active in the market.
- Responsible for the recommendation and execution of regional trade marketing investments. Liaise and coordinate with sales, media, digital, sports marketing, etc. to drive channel marketing needs within the market.
- Deliver framework of critical digital strategies to optimise our digital journey with our brand partners. Ensure access to insights, data, and digital tools to improve the journey over time.
- Develop and maintain the annual Marketing calendar of all marketing campaigns, events, launches etc. Drive key strategic opportunities forward that evolve the current marketing calendar.
- Identify requirements for trade marketing assets to optimise the omnichannel journey with our key brand partners. Partner with creative studio to deliver assets that achieve our aligned objectives.
- Work with EMEA central team members to identify consumer insights and work with the insights team to deliver a package of insights that support our trade marketing strategies.
- Partner with our accounts, EMEA VM team and sales leads to build and implement a VM strategy and roll out plan with clear objectives and targets.
- Ensure development and recommendation of local VM plan, that meets investment guidelines, key focuses, and objectives, and most importantly delivers on the defined customer experience.
- Ensure all Trade Marketing Managers and specialists are accomplishing effectively including assessment and gap analysis, business driver identification, business planning and insight application. Ensure teams are delivering clear reports on short and long term KPI performance.
- Develop effective relationships with Sales leaders on strategy and execution to improve team and planning execution continuously.
- Ensure timely and effective report out on calendar, investment plans and key initiatives across key partners, ensuring the provision of data from our brand partners.
- Effective management of the budget, targets, and performance measures related to trade marketing activities.
- People management responsibility, including inspiring and attracting talent, supporting performance, recognising and celebrating, empowering development.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
- Knowledge of marketing options and opportunities.
- Understand, evaluate and implement marketing strategies.
- Oversee and support execution of trade marketing plans.
- Develop and implement trade marketing strategies.
- Analysis of driven retail environment to identify marketing opportunities.
- Analysis of retail marketing/industry trends that may impact strategy.
- Knowledge of visual merchandising strategies and planning.
- Knowledge in digital marketing tools and techniques is a plus, SEO/Paid Search/Journey mapping, CRM.
- Knowledge of international marketplace; and ability to apply this knowledge.
- Knowledge of the Sports and Fashion industry (preferred, not limited).
- Solid experience in Trade Marketing, with a focus on both online and in-store retail environments, with knowledge of E Commerce and visual merchandising. Team management experience is essential.
- Leadership skills with proven experience in leading and developing a team of marketing professionals, with strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
- Strong analytical abilities to assess strategic and campaign performance and identify areas of improvement from data. Proficient in data and reporting tools.
- Strong partner management, having worked in a complex matrix environment before and can work with multiple partners at the same time, with the ability to influence cross functional teams and external partners.
