MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assume full responsibility for the stockroom to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the store's commercial success.
- Implement and enforce company rules and procedures for maintaining a well-organized and efficient stockroom.
- Make informed decisions that align with store turnover, considering customer profiles and commercial goals.
- Monitor and analyse stockroom performance, proposing improvements and addressing concerns as needed.
- Allocate resources effectively to drive productivity in the stockroom.
- Collaborate with senior management and the visual merchandising team to maintain a trend-focused and brand-relevant stockroom.
- Lead recruitment, induction, training, and development of stockroom team members, ensuring adherence to HR policies.
- Report directly to Store Manager to manage loss prevention effectively.
- Provide feedback on operational performance and suggest improvements during regular catch-ups with senior management.
- Collaborate with external business partners to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
- Part of the senior team to carry store responsibilities such as open/close, store emergency evacuation and any other duties required by the management team.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS
- Team Player.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or management position, preferably within a retail stockroom.
- Ability to lead and coach a team.
- Knowledge of retail KPIs.
- Previous experience in retail desirable.
- Demonstrate customer service skills.
- A passion for retail operations.
- Desire to learn.
- Ability to perform basic maths and general retail operational processes.
- Understanding of POS register systems.
- Effective communication skills.
- Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays.
