MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assume full responsibility for the stockroom to ensure smooth operations and contribute to the store's commercial success.
  • Implement and enforce company rules and procedures for maintaining a well-organized and efficient stockroom.
  • Make informed decisions that align with store turnover, considering customer profiles and commercial goals.
  • Monitor and analyse stockroom performance, proposing improvements and addressing concerns as needed.
  • Allocate resources effectively to drive productivity in the stockroom.
  • Collaborate with senior management and the visual merchandising team to maintain a trend-focused and brand-relevant stockroom.
  • Lead recruitment, induction, training, and development of stockroom team members, ensuring adherence to HR policies.
  • Report directly to Store Manager to manage loss prevention effectively.
  • Provide feedback on operational performance and suggest improvements during regular catch-ups with senior management.
  • Collaborate with external business partners to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Part of the senior team to carry store responsibilities such as open/close, store emergency evacuation and any other duties required by the management team.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS

  • Team Player.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management position, preferably within a retail stockroom.
  • Ability to lead and coach a team.
  • Knowledge of retail KPIs.
  • Previous experience in retail desirable.
  • Demonstrate customer service skills.
  • A passion for retail operations.
  • Desire to learn.
  • Ability to perform basic maths and general retail operational processes.
  • Understanding of POS register systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays.
