JOB MISSION:
Utilizing experience gained in a large global apparel business, coupled with deep HR expertise and a proven record of success, this leader will be responsible for driving HR outcomes that accelerate the growth of New Balance’s global apparel business. This includes assessing and designing organizational structures that support innovation, efficiency, and long-term talent strategies.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Assess current organizational structures across key functions including product development, product marketing, design, sourcing, technical design, and global planning to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
Collaborate with senior leadership to design the organizational framework for regional creation centers, defining optimal size, configuration, and operating models that support business growth and agility.
Co-create and execute HR strategies that align with global apparel business objectives and future workforce needs.
Serve as a trusted advisor to apparel leadership, developing comprehensive talent strategies in partnership with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent, Talent Acquisition, Operations, Total Rewards) and regional HR teams.
Lead team effectiveness initiatives and oversee talent and performance management processes.
Design and implement engagement strategies to enhance team effectiveness, associate satisfaction, and retention.
Model and promote leadership behaviors that align with a positive ONE NB culture and associate experience.
Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies, procedures, and systems.
Leverage data and analytics (including Workday reporting) to inform decisions, identify trends, and measure the impact of HR initiatives.
Drive workforce management strategies to support efficient and sustainable talent attraction and retention.
Coach leaders to model core values, drive engagement, and support career development at all levels.
Consult on complex associate relations matters and investigations as needed.
REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:
10+ years of HR generalist/business partner experience, including within a large multinational apparel organization.
Proven expertise in project and program management.
Strong operational acumen with the ability to use tools and reports to drive insights and recommendations.
Demonstrated experience advising senior leaders and consulting on HR strategies.
- Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience designing and implementing organization-wide initiatives and leading change management efforts.
- Proven ability to mentor, coach, and develop associates while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

Flexible Work Schedule
For decades we have fostered a unique culture founded on our values with a particular focus on in-person teamwork and collaboration. Our North American hybrid model encourages rich in-person experiences, showcasing our commitment to teamwork and connection, while maintaining flexibility for associates. New Balance Associates currently work in office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Our offices are fully open, and amenities are available across our North American office locations. To continue our focus on hybrid work we have introduced “Work from Anywhere” (WFA) for four weeks per calendar year. This model will help us enhance our culture while continuing to maintain elements of flexibility.
