A global entertainment services provider, well renowned within the Film & TV industry, is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to management the month end process and lead a small team of juniors/accounts assistants.
This position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in delivering strong operational results and takes pride in developing people. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be responsible for supporting, training, and coaching your team, giving them the skills to contribute more broadly to the department’s success.

To be a suitable candidate, you will ideally be fully qualified with extensive relevant experience. Candidates qualified by experience, with relevant experience will be considered, alongside individuals who have recently qualified and are looking for the next step in their career. If you’re looking for a move from practice, you will need to have extensive accounts prep/business outsourcing exposure.
You will be a great all-rounder in finance, being technically strong, a self starter, proactive and highly organised. This is a great opportunity where you’ll be able to add value, whilst working within a lovely team.
The role is hybrid, with an expectation to be in the office 3 days a week (more in the initial stages) and is based in the Reading/Winnersh area.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 3 accounts assistants, ensuring transactional accuracy and team growth.
- Complete daily bank reconciliations across a diverse client portfolio.
- Maintain and enhance the weekly data analytics dashboard process.
- Take ownership of management accounts: prepare schedules (deferred revenue, accruals, prepayments) and assist with the month-end close.
- Prepare quarterly VAT returns and statutory accounts.
- Support the financial controller with audit queries and ad hoc projects.
- Oversee payroll processes and data integration into Oracle, ensuring timely client payments and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with AP & AR teams (UK & Ireland), including regular supplier payment runs.
- Proactively review processes, identify improvements, and drive efficiencies.
Candidate Specification
- Previous experience managing a team within a finance function.
- Accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience with proven success.
- Strong experience preparing management accounts and leading the close process.
- High attention to detail, with impeccable deadline management.
- Advanced systems skills; Oracle experience highly advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a can-do, solutions-focused attitude.
- A logical, proactive self-starter who thrives under pressure in a dynamic environment.
