A rapidly growing, award-winning TV production group with ambitious expansion plans is seeking a talented senior-level Production Finance person to join their ever-growing team in this newly created role. With a diverse multi-genre slate including documentaries, live and prime-time entertainment, this is an exciting time to join the team.
The Role:
As part of their growth plans, the company is seeking a Head of Production Finance to lead its production finance team, supporting management to achieve company objectives and enhance financial processes across all productions. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role involves managing budgeting, financial reporting, and building key relationships with management and production teams to ensure productions operate efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop the production accounting/finance team.
- Ensure accurate budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with production teams to support financial planning and operations.
- Improve financial processes and drive efficiency across productions.
- Manage high-value budgets and ensure financial compliance.
- Ensure all productions have the right level of financial support throughout the production lifecycle.
- Lead production finance meetings with the business, ensuring all aspects of production finance have been considered.
- Drive margin efficiencies across all productions within the group.
- Supervise and report on production tax credits.
- Ensure optimisation of financial systems and become a superuser to train new users.
About You:
- 10+ years in TV production finance/accounting with UK and International exposure in an indie environment.
- Previous team management experience is essential.
- Strong decision-making skills in fast-paced environments.
- Effective communicator with the ability to communicate complex and detailed information in a confident, clear, and concise manner to all the business.
- Solid stakeholder management skills, with the ability to be objective, knowing when to champion and when to challenge.
- Great interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and engage others, building credibility and engendering trust.
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in production finance software.
- Detail-oriented with a strong attention to detail.
- Solid understanding of data analysis and budgeting.
