A leading TV production company, known for creating bold, entertaining and original dramas for the UK & International TV markets, is looking for an experienced FM/FC to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. This established business continues to produce outstanding content that has been globally recognised through many nominations and wins of major awards including BAFTA, Emmys, and Golden Globes.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the financial operations, reporting requirements and supporting strategic decision making within a dynamic and fast paced creative environment. To be a suitable candidate it is essential that you have a depth of relevant finance experience gained within the TV/Film/entertainment or relatable industry, alongside a strong working knowledge of UK GAAP/IFRS. You will be super organised, proactive, have an approachable friendly manner and the ability to work in a fast paced creative environment. This is a 12-14 month contract due to maternity cover and you will be required to be in the Central London offices at least 3 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly journals, accruals and prepayments, and produce consolidated management accounts across all entities.
  • Complete month-end production and intercompany reconciliations, including AVEC and AAG updates.
  • Maintain and develop key financial models covering forecasting, overheads, cashflow and development spend.
  • Submit monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts to Head Office, providing clear variance analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet reporting and support wider financial reporting requirements.
  • Manage VAT compliance, including returns, registrations, deregistrations and HMRC queries.
  • Oversee year-end statutory accounts, tax packs and audit processes.
  • Manage payroll changes and prepare royalty and residual statements for actors and writers.
  • Line manage and support the Accounts Assistant.
  • Partner with the CFO on budgeting, forecasting, ad-hoc analysis and stakeholder liaison.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Part or Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent; AAT qualified will be considered).
  • Relevant experience working within TV/Film/Content production or similar Entertainment company is ESSENTIAL.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a depth of experience in management accounts and statutory reporting.
  • Experience of PMI, Eclipse, Cognos highly desirable.
  • Advanced Excel skills is essential.
  • Proactive, well-organised self-starter.
  • Analytical, methodical approach to problem-solving.
  • Eager to learn and contribute to continuous improvement.
