An exciting opportunity has arisen for a newly or recently qualified Financial Accountant to join a globally recognised Entertainment group on a 6-month fixed term contract. The business is a leading producer and distributor of multi-genre content, operating across the UK and international markets. This role sits within the central UK finance team, providing financial reporting oversight across the UK group while working closely with finance teams supporting production labels and distribution. The environment is fast‑paced, collaborative and offers excellent exposure within a large, complex media organisation. The role is hybrid, with 2–3 days per week in the office.
This position would suit an individual who has completed their training in a reputable accountancy practice, bringing strong audit and statutory reporting experience. Prior exposure to TV, Film or Entertainment is advantageous but not essential.
The Role
Reporting to the UK Financial Reporting Manager, you will support statutory and external reporting across the UK group, as well as contributing to defined internal projects. This is a strong opportunity to further develop technical accounting skills within an established central finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory financial statements for multiple UK entities, including SPVs
- Support group consolidation and external reporting requirements
- Assist with year‑end audits and liaise with external auditors and internal stakeholders
- Support the implementation of group accounting policies and internal controls
- Assess and help implement changes in accounting standards
- Act as a technical point of contact for UK finance teams
- Contribute to technical and commercial accounting assessments
- Support tax filings and industry body submissions
- Assist with intercompany reconciliations and broader finance projects
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified ACA / ACCA (or equivalent)
- Trained in a reputable accountancy practice with a strong technical foundation
- Sound knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 101 & FRS 102); IFRS exposure beneficial
- Experience working with group structures and consolidation processes
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet statutory deadlines
- Confident communicator and collaborative team player
- Proactive, organised and adaptable within a fast‑moving environment
