The business manages a diverse portfolio of intellectual property and revenue streams, working across multiple territories and platforms within a fast-moving, commercially complex environment. To be a suitable candidate you will be part qualified and have some previous experience in Management Accounting and revenue reporting, preferably gained within an Entertainment, Media or Creative environment. You need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Study package offered & hybrid working.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including financial and commercial performance analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including input into group reporting and consolidation packs
- Partner with Cash, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to manage invoicing and cash processes
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with accounting policies and internal controls
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and review revenue and cost data for accuracy and completeness
- Monitor and reconcile digital and streaming revenue and costs, ensuring alignment with external statements and internal systems
- Review invoices and manage cost coding and allocation across departments
- Post month-end journals and accruals to support a timely close process
- Maintain accurate contract records and supporting documentation, responding to commercial and contract-related queries
- Support audits, internal controls and ad hoc analysis and projects as required
Candidate Specification:
- Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent), currently studying and having completed some exams
- Experience of assisting with management accounts preferably gained within a Media, Entertainment or similar environment
- Exceptional personal and interpersonal skills, great team player and enjoys building strong working relationships
- Good Excel skills & comfortable with picking up new systems
- Proactive, keen to learn and able to think on your feet
- Great attention to detail, deadline orientated and able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
