Salary: up to 35,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
The role: This is a key role within our client’s Mechanical function, where the successful candidate will contribute to maintaining and repairing critical infrastructure. You’ll be using a variety of techniques to support the upkeep and reliability of our clients’ diverse range of assets.

Key responsibilities will be:
- Carry out fabrication and repair welding across a wide range of plant and equipment
- Perform welding techniques including MMA, MMAW and GTAW
- Manufacture components and structures from drawings using a variety of materials
- Support the day-to-day operation of the workshop, ensuring work is completed to schedule and quality standards
- Deliver planned preventative maintenance and routine repairs
- Complete job reports and maintenance records via the Ports ERP system
- Ensure work is carried out in line with risk assessments, statutory regulations and Health
