Are you a Manufacturing Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement, lean manufacturing and process optimisation? Our client is seeking a proactive engineer to support production by improving assembly processes, increasing efficiency and driving operational excellence across the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions and visual factory documentation.
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen and 6S projects.
- Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, shadow boards and shop floor layouts to improve productivity and workflow.
- Maintain production routings within SAP and support Engineering Change Requests (ECR/ECN).
- Create KPIs, visual management boards and production performance reporting.
- Conduct root cause analysis using A3 problem-solving techniques.
- Produce CAD layouts and technical drawings to optimise factory flow and assembly operations.
- Support FMEA, Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process validation activities.
About You
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineer or Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement techniques.
- Experience using SolidWorks or AutoCAD (2D AutoCAD desirable).
- SAP experience, including production routings and data management.
- Confident using Microsoft Office with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Organised, detail-focused and able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
