Location: Swindon

Salary: £31,699.20 per annum

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday, 5:00am - 1:30pm, with additional overtime as required due to traffic

Are you a practical, reliable and customer-focused individual with experience in driving, deliveries, installations or property maintenance? Our client is looking for a Logistics Driver / Fitter to join their Transport & Logistics team in Swindon. This is a hands-on, mobile role where you will be responsible for delivering, assembling and installing white goods, furnishings and inventory across properties within the Group regions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, meeting different people and taking pride in completing work to a high standard.

Based from the Swindon Logistics team, you will receive a daily job sheet and will be responsible for completing scheduled deliveries and installations efficiently and professionally. You will work closely with Housing Officers and other members of the team and may occasionally come into contact with Service Users, so a professional and respectful approach is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver, assemble and install white goods, furnishings and other inventory within properties.
  • Ensure all deliveries and installations are completed safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Liaise with Housing Officers to ensure deliveries are completed on time.
  • Leave properties clean, safe and tidy following completed work.
  • Report any hazards, defects or concerns identified within properties immediately.
  • Maintain accurate records and return completed paperwork as required.
  • Communicate completed and outstanding jobs to management.
  • Notify the Team Leader where jobs cannot be completed and provide clear feedback.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and provide support or on-the-job training where required.
  • Provide cover for other team members and support the Line Manager when required.
  • Manage company equipment responsibly.
  • Keep up to date with emails, calls, messages and other communications.
  • Use relevant systems, including email and CCMS, to acknowledge and manage job requirements.
  • Follow all company procedures and relevant contract requirements.
  • Undertake required training and development.
About You

The successful candidate will be practical, dependable and organised, with the ability to manage a daily workload and complete jobs to a consistently high standard. You will ideally have experience in a delivery, logistics, fitting, installation, property maintenance or similar hands-on environment.

You will also need:

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a daily job sheet.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to problem solving.

  • A willingness to travel and provide mobile cover across the relevant regions.
  • A strong commitment to following company procedures and health and safety requirements.
