Part-Time Finance Assistant - 1 Year Maternity Cover
Location: Sittingbourne
We are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Finance Assistant to join our clients team on a 1-year temporary basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant or Finance Administrator with previous experience in a busy finance environment to join a supportive and professional team.
About the Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with other departments, you will provide day-to-day financial support across the organisation.
You will help ensure that financial processes are accurate, efficient and well maintained, supporting the effective management of the organisations finances and contributing to its wider strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing invoices, purchase orders and payments.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assisting with bank and other financial reconciliations.
- Supporting budget monitoring and expenditure tracking.
- Assisting with month-end financial processes.
- Responding to finance queries.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial information.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience working in a finance department or busy finance team.
- AAT Level 3 or equivalent accounting qualification (desirable).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
You will be working a minimum of 15 hours per week, so flexibility is required.
The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
