An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Sales Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a unique hybrid role combining technical advisory, customer support and project management responsibilities. Rather than focusing on sales targets, you will work closely with customers and internal teams to provide technical solutions, support projects and help deliver an exceptional customer experience.

With around 75% of enquiries involving bespoke solutions, this role would suit someone who enjoys problem-solving, understanding customer requirements and applying engineering principles to real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical advice and application support to customers, distributors and internal teams.
  • Review customer specifications and recommend the most suitable solution.
  • Prepare quotations and technical proposals.
  • Support customer projects from enquiry through to delivery.
  • Investigate technical issues, customer complaints and process improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering and Production teams.
  • Assist with customer visits, site surveys, exhibitions and technical presentations when required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and business development projects.
Person Specification
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or technical environment.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Good commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
  • Experience managing projects or coordinating multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Confident using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Additional language skills would be advantageous.
