This is a flexible opportunity offering 24 to 40 hours per week. For candidates seeking 40 hours, the role will comprise 24 hours within the Finance department and 16 hours providing administrative support to other areas of the business, making it an ideal position for someone who enjoys variety in their working day.
The Role
As an Accounts Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date. You'll also have the opportunity to support the wider business with general administration if working full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the accounts inbox and respond to finance queries.
- Process purchase ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements and customer payments.
- Carry out credit control and chase outstanding invoices.
- Prepare payroll documentation and support payroll processes.
- Assist with management reporting and month-end finance tasks.
- Maintain accurate financial records and resolve account discrepancies.
- Provide general accounts and administrative support as required.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in an accounts or finance role.
- Has good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Is highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

What We Offer
Competitive hourly rate of £15.00-£16.00, depending on experience. The role is initially being offered on a temporary basis, with the opportunity to become permanent following the successful completion of a trial period.
