Family Support Worker – Ramsgate
Salary: £13.35 per hour to £14.35 per hour depending on experience. Night shifts and sleep‑ins (£30 + 2 hours) are paid separately.
Working days: Full‑time and part‑time, Monday to Friday, with weekends on a rota.
Working hours: 7-½ hour shifts between 09:00 and 23:00 (night shifts available).
We are partnering with an outstanding provider to support parents and children within a residential setting. You will help families develop the skills and confidence to meet their own needs and those of their children, working closely with professionals to ensure positive outcomes.
Senior Residential Family Support Workers earn £15.00 per hour to £16.00 per hour depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support families in line with placement plans, promoting positive parenting and life skills.
- Observe, record and report on parental interactions and contribute to assessments and plans.
- Safeguard children and vulnerable adults, following all policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to meetings and reports.
- Model professional practice, promoting equality and respecting individual rights and choices.
- Work as part of a flexible team, attending training and supervision sessions.
- Assist with domestic duties to support the smooth running of the centre.
Requirements

- Experience of working with children or babies.
- Willingness to complete NVQ Level 3 and 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner (Residential Pathway) qualification if not already held.
