Contract Duration: 6 months
We are looking for a German-speaking Payroll Specialist to work for our large international client, initially on a temporary basis with the strong potential for extension or a permanent position. This is a remote role with quarterly travel to the Darlington office and maybe rare travel to Germany if required.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll for German sites in compliance with local legislation and internal controls
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies on payroll-related matters
- Respond to queries on tax, social security, illness, and insurance – including audits
- Maintain accurate documentation and workflow procedures
- Support and attend virtual customer meetings related to payroll in Germany
- Drive and participate in process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Fluent German (professional level)
- Solid knowledge of German payroll legislation
- Experience using SAP
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and customer focus
Desirable Competencies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of payroll and HR compliance standards
- Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment
You will be working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
