Location: Maidstone

Pay Rate: £12.71ph

Start Date: Monday 7th September

Hours: The role will primarily be Monday-Friday, 12pm-7pm, although there may be a requirement for some morning cover during one particular week. There may also be some Saturday working, with a day off during the week accommodated where required.

We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Kitchen Assistant to join a busy kitchen in Maidstone for approximately one month throughout September. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous kitchen, catering, hospitality or KP experience who is reliable, hardworking and happy to support with general kitchen duties. No formal cooking experience is required.

Duties will include:

  • General kitchen assistance and keeping the kitchen clean and tidy
  • Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment
  • Supporting chefs with tray preparation
  • Basic food preparation, including peeling and chopping vegetables
  • Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
  • Supporting the wider kitchen team as required

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous kitchen, catering, hospitality or KP experience
  • Is reliable and hardworking
  • Is comfortable carrying out general kitchen duties
  • Can work well as part of a team
  • Has a good understanding of kitchen hygiene and health & safety
  • Is flexible with working hours and occasional Saturday shifts
