Job Description Mechanical Fitter Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday (early finish Friday) A well-established engineering business with decades of experience providing industrial mechanical solutions is seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys mechanical problem-solving and working on the strip-down, inspection and rebuild of industrial equipment. The position will involve working on blower vacuum pumps, rotary valves, pumps, gearboxes and pneumatic systems, ensuring equipment is repaired, refurbished and reassembled to a high standard of quality and reliability. Making accurate measurement readings, replacing key components and reassembling products using notes taken during initial inspection Mechanical fitting, servicing and refurbishment of pumps, gearboxes and pneumatic assemblies Fault-finding and diagnosis of mechanical and pneumatic issues Completing maintenance records and service reports accurately, both on paper and using a tablet Ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and in line with quality standards Maintaining good housekeeping and following company safety procedures Recognised apprenticeship or vocational training qualification Experience working with machine tools and/or mechanical assemblies Excellent coordination and strong mechanical skills Basic computer literacy Ability to lift up to 25kg and carry out repetitive manual tasks If this role isn't for you, please check out our website for other roles that may be suitable, or send us your CV, we would still like to hear from you!
