Are you a practical, hardworking and physically capable person looking for a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment? We are currently recruiting for a Labourer / Cleaner to join our clients team. This is a more hands-on and physically demanding cleaning position than a traditional janitorial role, so you'll need to be comfortable getting stuck in and carrying out more labour-intensive cleaning tasks.

The Role

Working within a factory/manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across multi sites. This will involve cleaning areas that may require some physical effort to access, including moving mats, equipment and other items to ensure areas underneath are thoroughly cleaned. You'll be working as part of a team but will also need to be able to work independently and take pride in completing tasks to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general and industrial-style cleaning across the manufacturing environment
  • Move mats, equipment and other items where necessary to clean underneath and around them
  • Complete more physically demanding cleaning tasks
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the site
  • Follow cleaning procedures and health & safety requirements
  • Keep cleaning equipment and work areas tidy
  • Support the wider team with general labouring duties where required

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks
  • Comfortable working in a factory or manufacturing environment
  • Happy undertaking labour-intensive cleaning
  • Practical, hands-on and willing to get stuck in
  • Reliable, hardworking and punctual
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Health and safety conscious

Previous experience in industrial cleaning, factory cleaning, warehouse work, labouring or a similar hands-on environment would be advantageous, but a positive attitude and strong work ethic are equally important.

Working Hours & Benefits

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Two paid tea breaks
  • Optional Saturday morning overtime available
  • Saturday overtime paid at just under time and a third
  • Full training provided where required

If you're looking for a practical role where no two days are quite the same and you're not afraid of getting stuck in, apply today!
