A leading organisation is seeking a Health & Safety ISO Officer to join its Compliance team based in London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a growing business where you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, supporting ISO standards and driving continuous improvement across multiple operational sites.

Reporting to the QEHS Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring health and safety compliance, conducting internal audits, supporting ISO accreditation activities and promoting a positive health and safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out desktop and site-based health and safety audits across company locations and suppliers.
  • Monitor compliance with internal health and safety policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of ISO audits and compliance programmes.
  • Investigate incidents and near misses, carrying out root cause analysis and monitoring corrective actions.
  • Produce monthly compliance and health & safety reports for management.
  • Work closely with operational teams to ensure health and safety standards are maintained across the business.
  • Present audit findings and recommendations during supplier review meetings where required.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments and regulatory visits across various locations.
  • Provide guidance and advice on health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Support wider compliance activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience within a Health & Safety, Compliance or ISO-focused role.
  • A sound understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
  • Experience carrying out internal audits, inspections or compliance reviews.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across the business.
  • Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • A flexible approach with the ability to travel to sites as required.
