An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Machinist to join a busy and well-established machine shop and assembly environment. This role is available on either a temp-to-perm basis paying £15.00-£18.00 per hour initially, or as a permanent position offering a salary of up to £42,000 including shift allowance, depending on experience.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of machine shop equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring quality, efficiency, and production targets are achieved.
- Set and operate machine shop equipment
- Resolve tooling and machine set-up issues as required
- Carry out autonomous machine maintenance
- Maintain department 5S standards and quality requirements
- Support other operators and departments when needed
- Work in line with company quality standards and procedures
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous machining or machine operating experience within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of CNC machinery controls would be advantageous
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible approach with willingness to support overtime requirements when needed
- Positive attitude and strong attention to detail
- Commitment to maintaining high quality standards
