Key responsibilities would be:
- Machine and prepare material ready for the welding process.
- Ensure products are machined to a high-quality standard.
- Work from drawings and technical instructions.
- Report low materials and consumables to ensure sufficient level of supplies.
- Use of industrial machinery and tools such as saws, drills and punches.
- Report any near misses, accidents and Health and Safety issues.
- Support in other departments of the business as required.
Experience and skills required:
- Experience in a fabrication, manufacturing, engineering or workshop environment.
- Previous experience as a Machinist or a role with heavy use of industrial tools.
- Experience measuring and preparing materials for welding and fabrication processes.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual handling and lifting duties.
