Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Setter/Operator to join a busy precision engineering environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, running, and overseeing CNC machines to produce components that meet strict quality and accuracy standards. This position would suit someone technically capable, detail-focused, and committed to delivering consistent results.
Key Duties
- Set and operate CNC machines (milling, turning, routing)
- Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Select and fit tooling, fixtures, and materials
- Complete quality checks
- Monitor tolerances and make adjustments
- Carry out basic machine maintenance and housekeeping
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience setting and operating CNC machines within a manufacturing setting
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Familiarity with CNC control systems such as Fanuc or Mazak
- Confident using inspection and measuring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
