Junior Project Engineer
Location: Folkestone Hybrid working
We are looking for a Junior Project Engineer to join an established engineering and R&D team, supporting the delivery of product development and manufacturing projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical engineering graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their career within project engineering.
The Role
- Working alongside experienced Project Engineers, you will:
- Support the planning and delivery of engineering and product development projects.
- Coordinate activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain.
- Assist with mechanical design, product development, prototyping and testing.
- Support project schedules, documentation, actions and progress reporting.
- Assist with engineering changes and the transition of products into production.
- Help identify and escalat project risks, issues and technical challenges.
About You
- Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
- Good understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Some experience with CAD/design would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proactive, practical and keen to develop a career in project engineering.
