We are recruiting a Production Technician to set and operate automatic assembly machines within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge who enjoys fault-finding, setting machinery, and keeping production running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily operation of automatic assembly machines
- Mechanical fault-finding and corrective action
- Setting and adjusting machines to fine tolerances to maintain product specification
- Running machines efficiently to achieve strong uptime and output
- Liaising with toolroom and maintenance teams regarding tooling and machine upkeep
Skills & Experience
- Good mechanical knowledge is essential
- NVQ / HNC qualification or qualified by experience
- Background in production or maintenance within a volume manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong practical problem-solving skills
- Understanding of machine maintenance and ownership
