Location: Remote (with occasional travel to Darlington, UK)

Contract Duration: 6 Months

This is a remote role with quarterly travel to the Darlington office and may include occasional travel to Germany if required. Initial assignment is temporary with strong potential for extension or a permanent position.

You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Process payroll for German sites in compliance with local legislation and internal controls
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies on payroll-related matters
  • Respond to queries on tax, social security, illness, and insurance, including audits
  • Maintain accurate documentation and workflow procedures
  • Support and attend virtual customer meetings related to payroll in Germany
  • Drive and participate in process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Fluent German (professional level)
  • Solid knowledge of German payroll legislation
  • Experience using SAP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and customer focus
