Contract Duration: 6 months
We are looking for a German‐speaking Payroll Specialist to work for our large international client on a temporary basis, with strong potential for extension or a permanent position. This is a remote role with quarterly travel to the Darlington office and occasional travel to Germany if required.
You will work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities- Process payroll for German sites in compliance with local legislation and internal controls.
- Liaise with internal departments and external agencies on payroll‐related matters.
- Respond to queries on tax, social security, illness, and insurance, including audits.
- Maintain accurate documentation and workflow procedures.
- Support and attend virtual customer meetings related to payroll in Germany.
- Drive and participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Fluent German (professional level).
- Solid knowledge of German payroll legislation.
- Experience using SAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, problem‐solving skills, and customer focus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of payroll and HR compliance standards.
- Experience working in a shared services or multinational environment.
