Job Description
Job title: Quality Inspector
Location: Hythe (you will need to drive due to location)
Hours: Monday to Friday, with an early finish on Fridays!
The role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that components are produced to the highest quality, and in line with customer specifications. You will be rotated between the three quality areas to build up all-round knowledge of the QC procedures across the business.

Key responsibilities would be to:
- Ensure components are produces to the highest standard.
- Verify dimensions against customer requirements.
- Sign off first-offs so that the Setter/Operator can continue the production run.
- Carry out goods-in inspection for materials and components.
- Inspect components before being send to dispatch for distribution.
- Record non-conforming products and highlight patterns.
- Identify reasons for non-conformances and suggestions improvements.
- Assist with the calibration of equipment.
Experience and skills required:
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Be able to use a range of specialist measuring equipment such as verniers, micrometeres, gauges, x-ray, clock and stand and RA testers.
- The experience to calibrate equipment and gauges.
- Strong mathematical skills, organisational and communication skills.
