We are supporting an academy of schools in the recruitment of a Facilities Assistant who will have responsibility for supporting of the the day to day facilities duties. The role will see you assisting with the maintenance and security of premises, buildings and grounds.
If you have some experience of facilities, maintenance and/or operational functions with a keenness and willingness to learn and develop, then this may be the role for you.
Duties:
- Assist with maintenance and ad-hoc repairs.
- Assist in maintaining the security of school premises, building and grounds.
- Assist in maintaining, operating and testing security systems.
- Play an active role in the completion of compliance checks.
- Supervise contractors on-site.
- Setup and supervise events
The right person for the job will:
- Have previous experience in a maintenance, handyman, caretaker type role.
- Have previous experience within a school setting would be preferred.
- Be a team player.
- Be adaptable and flexible.
Full UK Driving Licence (Essential) and own transport (Essential) due to working across multiple sites.
Starting immediately as a temp and working weekly until you transfer to a permanent contract, hours will cover 37/week with flexibility to cover hours between 06.00 and 22.00, although rarely starting and finishing at these times.
The role is subject to Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks.
