We are seeking a temporary English Lecturer for an immediate start to deliver GCSE English Language and Functional Skills.
The successful candidate must be registered on the DBS Update Service.
Hours & Contract
- Hours: 17 hours per week
- Contract: Temporary / short-term
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging English Language lessons at GCSE and Functional Skills level
- Plan and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum requirements
- Assess learner progress and provide feedback
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Previous experience teaching GCSE English is essential
- Some knowledge of AQA criteria is desirable but not essential
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
Qualifications
- GCSE English
- A teaching qualification is preferred but not essential, provided the candidate has relevant teaching experience
This role requires someone who can start immediately and confidently step into a short-term teaching assignment.
