Salary: up to £35,000 (OTE c. £47,000)

Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

The role:

We are looking for an experienced Sales Executive to join our client, a well-established provider of third-party freight bookings and customs clearance services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven sales professional to take ownership of business development across the UK. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, winning new business and developing strong, long-term relationships with customers.

Key responsibilities would be to:

  • Generate new business through proactive cold calling and outbound sales
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across the UK
  • Sell ferry services to new and existing customers
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Take ownership of accounts once onboarded, ensuring they are nurtured and maximised
  • Prepare and provide accurate quotations to customers
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services
  • Negotiate with customers to secure new business
  • Attend customer site visits when required

Experience and skills required:

  • Previous B2B sales experience
  • Proven experience in business development and account management
  • Confident carrying out telesales and cold calling
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • A proven ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships
  • Strong administrative and numerical skills with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A confident, positive and engaging personality
  • Self-motivated, commercially driven and target-focused
