Cut & Crease Machine Operative

Job Opportunity: Cut & Crease Operative Salary: £30,000 – £36,500 per annum Shift Patterns: 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm / 10pm to 6am (Must be willing to cover Nights) 40 hours per week with paid breaks Main Responsibilities: Operate B1 and Large Format Cut and Crease Machines with various materials Troubleshoot and resolve production issues Record job production data in the IM system Repair, adjust, and log tooling and dies as needed Handle minor machine breakdowns and perform scheduled maintenance Keep machines clean, safe, and operational Perform quality checks and maintain consumable stock Manage waste disposal, tooling, and material setup, including use of the pile-turner Complete necessary administrative tasks and IMS data entry Move and charge pallets and equipment as required Perform general housekeeping and equipment checks Cover responsibilities for absent Cut & Crease Assistants Train and support new C&C Operatives and Assistants Train and support new C&C Operatives and Assistants Perform other tasks as directed by managementSkills and Attributes Team player with ability to work independently Skilled at prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines Calm under pressure Eager to learn and develop Strong communication with solid interpersonal and organisational skills Experience in packaging/greetings card sector is desirable Organised and methodical Willingness to work Overtime when neededBenefits: Salary commensurate with experience 25 Days holiday (Plus Bank Holidays) 20% Shift Premium Payable when on night shift Workplace Pension Training on all relevant IMS's and personal development in line with the role Overtime available, paid at X1.5 standard hourly rateNew Appointments Group, Expertly Matching Employers and Jobseekers since 1975.
