We are recruiting a Production Technician to set and operate automatic assembly machines within a busy manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong mechanical knowledge who enjoys fault-finding, setting machinery, and keeping production running efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Daily operation of automatic assembly machines
  • Mechanical fault-finding and corrective action
  • Setting and adjusting machines to fine tolerances to maintain product specification
  • Running machines efficiently to achieve strong uptime and output
  • Liaising with toolroom and maintenance teams regarding tooling and machine upkeep

Skills & Experience

  • Good mechanical knowledge is essential
  • NVQ / HNC qualification or qualified by experience
  • Background in production or maintenance within a volume manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous but not essential
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong practical problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of machine maintenance and ownership
