Overview

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Bookkeeper (Part-Time) to manage the finances and administration of our long-standing property business client, based in Sittingbourne. This is a permanent role.

Role Details

  • Location: Sittingbourne (driving is required due to limited public transport)
  • Hours: 16 hours per week (flexible across 2 days)
  • Salary: Up to £30,000 FTE / £15.38 per hour (approx. £12,796 per annum pro-rata)
  • Benefits: Company pension and pro-rata annual leave

Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping using SAGE: sales & purchase ledger, VAT returns, bank reconciliations
  • Payroll via HMRC Basic PAYE Tools
  • Annual accounts preparation for External Accountants
  • Property admin: rent invoicing, lease renewals, maintenance coordination
  • General office support: answering phones, post, filing, tenant liaison
  • Occasional private property admin and tax return support

Requirements

  • Experienced in bookkeeping and able to work independently
  • Fundamental experience in gathering payroll data
  • Familiar with SAGE accounting systems
  • Familiar with property or small business environments is a bonus
  • Own car and valid license to attend the office
