We are recruiting for a newly created Finance Manager role with an established and growing company based in Ashford. Working closely with the Finance Director, you will be a technically strong finance professional with proven people management experience and a passion for developing and motivating high-performing teams. You will have a solid track record of managing month-end and statutory reporting processes across multiple entities.
Benefits include competitive salary, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, annual bonus, and the option for 1 day hybrid/week.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the month-end and year-end reporting processes.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee statutory reporting, VAT returns and the annual audit.
- Review financial performance, investigating variances and identifying improvements.
- Lead, develop and motivate the finance team.
- Support the Finance Director with business projects, including the implementation of a new accounting system in 2027.
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, controls and systems.
- Ideally Qualified (ACCA or equivalent) with strong accounts experience supporting multiple entity requirements.
- Proficient with VAT returns, cashflow management and financial reporting.
- Ability to manage a varied finance team at different levels.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Technically minded with exemplary people management skills.
- Experience using Sage 50.
