Quality, Compliance & Governance Manager

Are you experienced in health and social care and looking to develop your career in quality, compliance and governance?

We're recruiting on behalf of a charity providing services across Kent and Medway for a Quality, Compliance & Governance Manager to support the CEO, senior leadership team and operational managers in maintaining effective governance, meeting regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement. This is a varied, developmental role for someone with a good understanding of regulated care services, strong organisational skills and the ambition to grow their expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support CQC compliance, safeguarding, health and safety, governance and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare reports, presentations and committee papers for senior management and trustees.
  • Collate and analyse information, identify risks and trends, and track actions through to completion.
  • Maintain compliance records, evidence, documentation and action plans.
  • Work with service managers to support governance, quality and compliance activities, including visits to services across Kent and Medway.
  • Coordinate improvement projects and support bids, tenders and commissioner responses.
  • Help develop processes, guidance and staff briefings to support consistent practice.

About You

  • Experienced within health and social care, ideally involving learning disability and autism services.
  • An understanding of CQC requirements, safeguarding and regulated service delivery.
  • Experienced in preparing reports, managing information and supporting managers or senior stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and written communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and confidence using digital tools.
  • A proactive, reliable and collaborative approach, with the ability to manage priorities and use initiative.

You’ll be comfortable working with different teams, presenting information professionally and knowing when to seek advice or elevate concerns.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for someone with solid foundations in health and social care who wants to develop broader expertise in quality, compliance and governance. You won't need to be an expert in every area from day one; the organisation is looking for someone with the right attitude, judgement and potential to grow with the role. Experience in governance, audits, contract monitoring, tenders or senior management reporting would be advantageous.

We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment in line with the Equality Act 2010. All qualified applicants will be considered regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
