Due to business expansion, we are looking for an HR Administrator to provide effective HR administration and support across the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, training, absence and general HR processes.

Working in a social care setting, the role requires a high level of confidentiality, professionalism and awareness of safeguarding and safer recruitment requirements.

Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm with 30 minute lunch.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day HR administrative support to Managers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
  • Support recruitment, including interview coordination, references, Right to Work and DBS checks.
  • Prepare contracts, offer letters and other HR documentation from templates.
  • Coordinate new starter onboarding and induction.
  • Monitor probation, training, mandatory compliance checks and qualification expiry dates.
  • Maintain sickness, absence and holiday records.
  • Support payroll with starter, leaver and employee change information.
  • Provide administrative support for disciplinary, grievance, performance and other employee relations processes.
  • Support HR audits and regulatory/compliance requirements.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality when dealing with sensitive employee information.
  • Promote and follow the organisation's safeguarding and safer recruitment procedures.

Person Specification

  • Previous HR or recruitment administration experience.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience handling confidential information.
  • Understanding of HR processes, GDPR and confidentiality.
  • Professional, approachable and reliable manner.
  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and safer recruitment.
  • Experience within social care, healthcare, children's services or another regulated environment.
  • Experience with DBS and safer recruitment processes.
  • Experience using an HR system.
