We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a successful team in Ramsgate. This role involves the design, maintenance, and fault-finding of electrical systems for machinery and equipment, with opportunities to work on automation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems for machinery and ancillary equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and integration of new equipment.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to provide technical support and improvements.
  • Ensure all electrical work meets relevant safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and undertake 5S activities in maintenance areas.
  • Conduct monthly inspections and testing of emergency lighting.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation; automation experience is desirable.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, or minimum 2 years' experience.
  • Proven experience in electrical engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical design, fault-finding, and use of electrical test equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA, or automation systems is desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Awareness of relevant health, safety, and compliance standards.
