I'm currently supporting one of my clients who are looking to add an experienced Mechanical/Electro-Mechanical Assembler to their team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, takes pride in quality, and can confidently work from engineering drawings to build precise assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electro‑mechanical components to engineering specifications.
- Follow all site health & safety procedures.
- Use a range of hand and bench tools, including torque tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Maintain high standards of quality across all build stages.
- Work well both independently and within a team.
- Support occasional supplier or customer visits (requires full UK driving licence and passport).
Experience & Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths, and a science subject.
- Previous experience in mechanical or electro‑mechanical assembly ideally.
- ESD experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Confident using hand tools and working in a technical environment.
Skills & Attributes
- Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfortable using MS Office for basic tasks.
- Able to interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
