Facilities Assistant

Location: Tunbridge Wells
Hours: Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week
Working Hours: 6.30am to 10.30am or 6.45am to 10.45am
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent

We are recruiting for a reliable and practical Facilities Assistant to support the daily operation of a professional workplace in Tunbridge Wells. Working as part of the Office Services team, you will provide practical support across the workplace, ensuring office, kitchen and external areas are maintained, tidy, clean and ready for the working day.

The role is 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a choice of start times. However, you must be on site before 7.00am to unlock the building.

Key Responsibilities

  • At site before 7am to unlock the building
  • Carrying out general handyman and practical maintenance duties
  • General housekeeping throughout the offices and kitchen area
  • Delivering milk to all work floors
  • Cleaning and refilling coffee machines, replenishing tea and coffee points across all work floors
  • Keeping outside paths and garden areas tidy and washing down external sills, doors and lighting
  • Replenishing photocopiers and office supplies
  • Assisting with lifting and moving boxes
  • Ad hoc duties, including driving the company vehicle to make local deliveries

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a facility, handyman or a caretaker role
  • A valid full UK driving licence
  • Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically capable of carrying out duties involving lifting and moving boxes
