As a Domiciliary carer, you will offer high-quality, person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes, promoting dignity, independence, and emotional wellbeing. Key Responsibilities
- Personal Care: Assist with personal care and promote client independence.
- Daily Living Support: Support with meals, mobility, and household tasks as outlined in the care plan.
- Medication Support: Administer or support medication and maintain records.
- Emotional & Social Support: Offer companionship, emotional support, and encourage clients' social and recreational engagement.
- Record-Keeping & Reporting: Maintain care records, report health changes promptly, and adhere to organisational policies and safeguarding standards.
- Professional Conduct: Demonstrate professionalism and respect, uphold data protection, and participate in ongoing training. Attend mandatory training and participate in professional development.
- Quality Assurance: Spot Checks, Audits, Incident Management and Learning. Be able to write and review effectively care plans and risk assessments. Report to the RM/Care Co-Ordinator on any aspects of service user care which warrants urgent action.
Essential requirements
- DBS clearance required.
- No prior experience required; full training will be provided.
- Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and reliable vehicle access.
- Must be flexible to cover different shifts, including evenings and weekends.
