Nevis Range is on the hunt for a Chef/Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This position is full time working 5 days from 7 days, 2pm till 10pm. This is your chance to make a substantial impact in a vibrant and fast-paced culinary environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook delicious, high-quality meals following our established recipes.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented in a visually appealing manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation, following food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to plan menus, create new recipes, and introduce innovative culinary concepts.
  • Monitor food inventory, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines and minimize food costs without compromising on quality.
  • Train and supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety, and sanitation throughout the kitchen area.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and new techniques to continuously improve your culinary skills.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cook/Chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently deliver high-quality dishes.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
