We are looking for a multidisciplinary Art Director to join us and become an integral part of our Creative Team, ensuring the creative vision for all projects is seen through from conceptualisation to delivery. This is a hugely important and hands-on role in our company, involved in all aspects of the creative process from developing ideas for pitches, styling and set design, sourcing of materials and props and working closely with all team members to complete all client work to the highest creative standards. We’re in a fast growth phase and looking to bolster our leadership team with the absolute best creative talent.

No formal qualifications are required, although an extensive and dynamic portfolio of creative work is essential, spanning all facets of photography, motion and other multimedia work—with particular emphasis on still life and motion art direction. We are seeking someone with a wealth of experience in a production or similar creative role, such as Art Direction, Creative Direction, Set Design or Design–preferably within another fast-paced agency environment. However, the most important attribute is having the right fundamental attitude to getting things done and to a high standard.

This role is exceptionally varied and provides a good amount of autonomy over processes and vision–ideally suited to a candidate looking to enter a fast growing company in a leadership role and have the maximum amount of impact with their work. It is a full-time and permanent position based at our studio in Bordon, Hampshire.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing ideas and creative concepts for client pitches
  • Turn client briefs into actionable shoot plans for the creative team
  • Work with the Creative Director and Account Managers in creating creative directions that achieve client objectives
  • Create set design and styling guides for active projects
  • Source props, materials and suppliers for the creative execution of work
  • Present creative concepts both internally and to clients on meetings
  • Create mock-ups and prototypes to show internally and to clients
  • Make sure everything we put out stays consistent with brand guidelines
  • Keep up with the latest content and advertising trends so our work stays fresh and ahead of the curve
  • Work closely with different teams to hit deadlines and meet client expectations
  • Support the creative team on shoots and multimedia projects

Reports To: The Creative Director

Essential Skills:

  • An extensive portfolio of creative work, showing a broad range of skills, design and aesthetic.
  • A primary focus or broad experience in still life and motion.
  • Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Photoshop, InDesign and Lightroom.
  • Strong understanding of content, design, marketing and advertising principles.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • A thirst for learning new things and getting stuck in.
  • A full UK driver's license.

Desirable Skills:

  • Technical and operational knowledge of motion graphics, video production and CGI.
  • Experience in using Project Management software such as Monday etc.
  • Practical skills in Photoshop, Design and Video Production.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in an art direction, creative direction or design role, ideally in another agency.
  • No formal qualifications required—just the right fundamental skills, thirst, and attitude.

Salary, Working Hours & Location:

  • Salary DOE
  • Full-time position (37.5 hours).
  • 9-5:30 pm (flexible hours available).
  • Primarily working at the studio in Bordon, Hampshire—but working from home is possible on occasion.
