The Role

As People & Culture Manager, you will partner closely with our Chief of People and Global Operations leadership team to deliver people strategies that support business growth, operational excellence, and employee engagement across our international operations functions. This is a hands‐on role where you'll spend time understanding how our workshop and operational teams work, building strong relationships with managers, and ensuring our people practices support productivity, quality, and exceptional customer experiences. From recruiting skilled talent and managing employee relations to driving performance and developing future leaders, you'll play a key role in shaping a high-performing culture across the business.

How You'll Contribute

  • Partnering with Global Operations Leaders
    • Act as the primary HR partner to the Global Operations leadership team.
    • Provide strategic and operational HR support across Workshop, Manufacturing, Customer Experience, Fulfilment, and Operational Support functions.
    • Support organisational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and team effectiveness initiatives.
  • Driving Employee Performance
    • Coach managers on performance management, objective setting, capability development, and succession planning.
    • Support leaders in managing performance concerns while creating development opportunities for high-performing employees.
    • Help foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Managing Employee Relations
    • Lead and support employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance cases.
    • Ensure policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with UK employment legislation.
    • Partner with managers to proactively address attendance, engagement, and workplace challenges.
  • Attracting and Retaining Talent
    • Manage recruitment across workshop, manufacturing, operations, and customer service functions.
    • Support hiring managers in attracting and retaining skilled talent in a competitive market.
    • Deliver a seamless onboarding experience that enables employees to become productive quickly and successfully.
  • Developing People & Capability
    • Identify learning and development needs across operational teams.
    • Design and facilitate training initiatives that enhance leadership capability, technical skills, and employee effectiveness.
    • Support career development and succession planning across key operational functions.
    • Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
    • Partner with managers to understand engagement drivers and implement practical improvement plans.
    • Lead initiatives that strengthen teamwork, communication, and employee experience across operational teams.
  • Driving People Projects
    • Support key People & Culture initiatives including HRIS implementation, policy development, organisational design, and process improvements.
    • Analyse people metrics and trends to support informed decision-making.
    • Continuously identify opportunities to improve employee experience, retention, and operational effectiveness.

Skills You'll Bring to The Role

  • Minimum 4 years' experience in a generalist HR or HR Business Partner role.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, workshop, production, operations, logistics, fulfilment, customer service, or similar fast-paced environments.
  • Strong employee relations experience, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, investigations, and performance management.
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong coaching, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting workforce planning, organisational change, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • CIPD qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous.
  • A proactive, hands‐on approach with the ability to balance operational priorities with employee experience.
