The Assistant Merchandiser supports the Merchandising team in driving sales and profitability through effective planning, analysis, and in‑season trading across multiple markets. Working closely with the Merchandiser and Buyer, the role focuses on sales, margin, pricing, and performance analysis. This is a commercially driven role suited to someone analytical and eager to develop within merchandising.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Merchandiser and Buyer in developing and maintaining commercially successful product ranges aligned to brand and customer needs.
  • Assist with weekly, seasonal, and annual sales and margin planning by category, channel, and market.
  • Produce accurate weekly trade reports, analysing sales, margin, AOV, conversion, and demand trends, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Monitor in‑season performance and support trading actions including pricing, promotions, and range optimisation.
  • Maintain accurate product, pricing, and margin data to support forecasting and decision‑making.
  • Assist with category, market, and customer analysis to identify growth opportunities and underperforming areas.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting to support wider merchandising and business initiatives.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in an Assistant Merchandiser or Merchandising Admin role (luxury, jewellery, fashion, or accessories preferred).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercially minded with an interest in trading and performance optimisation.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally.
