Our client is the UK/European arm of a privately owned US group. It is the global market leader within its sector.

Astute financial management is of paramount importance in a business environment where margin & inventory management are key alongside a desire to achieve best in class customer service and provide optimised solutions at lowest cost.

This is a key role in the executive team and, naturally, reports to the MD.

The Role:

• Take full responsibility for all aspects of the financial management of the business.
• Support operational management within the UK in improving business performance; this will include driving revenues, maintaining margins and cost reduction.
• Through strong financial leadership, develop a function that gets into the business and is seen as a true commercial partner.
• Create a change orientated mindset that increases the efficiency of the finance department, enabled by the existing systems platform.

The Candidate:

• Qualified accountant with a minimum 5 years experience in leading the finance function of a sales‑led business.
• Demonstrate commercial experience with substantial exposure to working cross‑functionally at senior management level.
• Strong leadership, enthusiasm, communication and people skills coupled with a sharp agile mind and a robust personality.
