As a Carbon Analysis Engineer at Neutreeno, you will take strong ownership of implementing our novel methodologies for scientifically measuring greenhouse gas emissions across complex industrial processes. You will be eager to do everything involved in creating world-leading climate decarbonisation systems. Working across diverse sectors from jet engine production to electricity transmission and EV battery manufacturing, you will collaborate with our data science and modelling teams to identify real-time emission hotspots, drive best practices and play a crucial role in accelerating decarbonisation pathways.

This is a role for someone who thrives diving deep into complex industrial processes to understand their fundamentals; analysing large datasets to uncover emission patterns and opportunities; managing multiple workstreams and priorities; and ready to continuously learn at the intersection of engineering, climate science, and industrial operations. As part of a dynamic and fast-paced startup, you will thrive on the challenge of building something extraordinary β€” tapping into and leveraging your proven expertise in process engineering and sustainability. You will have the opportunity to shape decarbonisation strategies from the ground up and create exceptional solutions across industries. Your work at Neutreeno will directly impact companies around the world. This position operates on a hybrid work model that fosters both teamwork and individual flexibility, with 3 days per week in our Cambridge office. Exceptional London-based candidates will be considered with a 2-day per week office requirement.

THE WORK YOU'LL DO

  • Drive emission data excellence by leading primary data validation efforts that reveal how emissions originate through industrial systems.
  • You will be exposed to complex process flows, pinpoint emission sources through our novel engine, and transform raw data into the decarbonisation action.
  • Dig deep into mass, energy and emissions datasets to uncover the stories they tell.
  • You will sense-check outputs of our novel approach to measure emissions to ensure all results are up to standard.
  • Develop methodologies that set new standards for measuring carbon across industrial processes and supply chains by looking at the best parts of ISO, PACT and the Greenhouse Gas Protocol that drive meaningful, actionable carbon measurement.
  • Push the boundaries of emissions measurement by teaming up with cross-functional partners to design new product features.
  • You will translate technical breakthroughs into new functionalities that showcase real value, turning complex findings into clear, actionable strategies that companies can execute onβ€”and helping them identify, track and amplify decarbonisation wins across their entire value chains.
